This home intentionally clings to the very edge of an impressive plot of land. Here a scenic area, meadows and garden form the transition to the living area, rather than the other way around.
The perspectives in this Cubist conception playfully interact with the surrounding greenery. A multitude of vistas direct your gaze each time to a different and unusual point in the surroundings, just as binoculars allow you to zoom in. That is why glass has been used sparingly, allowing one to discover something new in every corner, in every vista.
Located on a plateau, the house is constructed entirely of Roman travertine in a grey hue that blends in with the surroundings. The same material was also used for the terrace and swimming pool. The warm wenge wood below the awnings beautifully draws in the earthy tones via the ceilings and beams.
The different living modules are connected by awnings so that the surrounding landscape can be enjoyed to the fullest extent. At the same time, the sense of wideness is broken up by patios that serve as cosy cocoons.

Deze woning neemt bewust slechts de rand in van een indrukwekkend stuk grond in. Natuurgebied, weiden en tuin vormen hier de overgang naar het woongedeelte, niet omgekeerd.
De doorzichten in deze kubistische opvatting spelen met het omringende groen. Een veelvoud aan zichtassen sturen je blik telkens naar een ander bijzonder punt in de omgeving, net zoals een verrekijker je laat inzoomen. Om die reden is het gebruik van glas niet uitgesproken, zodat er in elke hoek, op elke as weer iets nieuws te ontdekken valt.
De woning bevindt zich op een plateau en is volledig opgetrokken uit Romeinse travertijn in een grijze tint die blendt met de omgeving. Ook voor het terras en het zwembad werd hetzelfde materiaal gebruikt. Het warme wengé aan de onderkant van de luifels trekt de aardse tinten mooi naar binnen via plafonds en balken.
De verschillende woonmodules zijn verbonden door luifels om zo maximaal van het omringende landschap te genieten. Tegelijk wordt de weidsheid doorbroken door patio’s die als gezellige cocons fungeren.
