A sexy house, that was the explicit briefing.
The existing structure of this 1960s home was left virtually unchanged.
It is the total sum of the warm, tactile materials, soft lighting, distinctive art and original details that make the property sexy. You enter through a steel, pivoting door and your gaze is immediately drawn to the glamorous mirrored block in which you can see a reflection of the lush surrounding shrubs. The entire first floor ceiling was finished in African Afzelia wood, further emphasising the sixties vibe.
Yet another sexy addition: the chubby, 13-centimetre-thick door, to be pushed open with a single tap. Beautifully rounded and handle-free, it blends into the room and creates an elegant contrast to the rustic tadelakt floor.
The walnut-wood kitchen unit, the strip of natural stone running through the door and walls, the walls in green lime paint and the rounded walls and seats also give the interior a distinct character.

Een sexy huis, dat was de expliciete briefing.
De bestaande structuur van deze jarenzestigwoning bleef quasi ongewijzigd, het is de optelsom van warme, tactiele materialen, zachte verlichting, uitgesproken kunst en originele details die het pand sexy maken. Zo kom je binnen via een stalen, pivotterende deur en valt
je blik meteen op het glamoureus spiegelblok waarin je de weelderig omringende struiken ziet. De volledige benedenverdieping kreeg een plafond in Afrikaans Afzelia, wat de sixties vibe extra onderlijnt.
Nog zo’n sexy toevoeging: de chubby, dertien centimeter dikke deur, met één tikje open te duwen. Mooi afgerond en zonder handgreep, waardoor deze opgaat in de ruimte en elegant contrasteert met de brute vloer in tadelakt. Ook het notenlaren keukenblok, de streep natuursteen die doorloopt op deur en wanden, de wanden in groene kalkverf en de afgeronde muren en zitbanken geven het interieur een uitgesproken karakter.
